From an OpenAPI spec to docs people trust.

A getting-started guide: how to publish, brand and share your API documentation with Palt.

Key features

Generated from your spec
Upload an OpenAPI JSON or YAML file and a complete documentation site is generated from it.
Your brand
Colours and a logo for light and dark, and your default theme, so the docs read as yours.
Try it, in place
Readers call your endpoints from the browser with the built-in console.
Custom domains
Serve the docs from docs.yourcompany.com, with certificates handled for you.

How it works

  1. 1

    Create a project

Sign up and create a project with a name and a slug, e.g. my-api-docs. The slug becomes the default address: my-api-docs.palt.io.

  2. 2

    Import your spec

Upload an OpenAPI 3.0+ file in JSON or YAML. It is validated, and every endpoint, schema, parameter and description is parsed.

  3. 3

    Brand it

Set primary, background and accent colours for light and dark, upload a logo for each, and choose the default theme.

  4. 4

    Publish and share

The docs are live at once. Share the address, protect it with a password, or connect a custom domain on your own infrastructure.

Security and privacy

Every docs site is served over HTTPS with certificates managed for you. Requests from the Try It console are relayed to your API, so it needs no CORS setup. Palt does not store your API keys or the data in your readers’ requests.

Bring your spec and publish your first docs.
